Cauldron of Becoming
Gather. Transform. Rise.
At the height of summer, beneath the wide skies and wild beauty of Crestone, women gather for one day and optional overnight stay in ritual, nature, voice, celebration, and deep reconnection.
Cauldron of Becoming is an intimate women’s mini retreat ritual designed for those moving through life transitions and longing for something more real, embodied, and meaningful. Women who wish to support either newly acquainted or friends and family are encouraged to join! Whether you are navigating midlife, divorce, menopause, grief, caregiving, empty nest, trauma, burnout, creative awakening, or simply the feeling that life is asking something new of you, this retreat offers space to pause, soften, and reconnect with the woman you are becoming.
Our Cauldron of Becoming Ceremony is a women-led rite of passage honoring the wisdom, resilience, beauty, and becoming of each participant. Some women may choose to be ceremonially crowned, while others may come in loving support and witness. Together we remember that women were never meant to move through life’s transformations alone.
We will unplug from constant noise and return to the wisdom of the body, the elements, authentic sisterhood, and sacred community.
This is not a performance-based wellness retreat.
There is nothing to achieve here.
No spiritual hierarchy. No pressure to “have it together.”
Instead, this is a space for:
meaningful connection
sacred ritual and shared song
emotional honesty
wild beauty
laughter, tears, celebration, and presence
being witnessed (or witnessing) in your becoming
reconnecting with your voice and inner knowing
Over our time together, we will share (optional):
Threshold / Crowning Ritual and flower crowning ceremony
Sacred women’s songs and drum
One healthy potluck feast
Fire circle gathering (weather permitting)
Creative expressions and sisterhood
Spaciousness to simply breathe and be

Rayah Sunshine
Cauldron of Becoming was born from a deep recognition that women deserve to be honored as they cross life's most significant thresholds.
After decades of raising my children in this mountain home, navigating profound personal transitions, and immersing myself in over twenty years of ceremonial practice, I began to notice something missing in our culture. We celebrate weddings and births, yet so many of the most transformative passages in a woman's life go unwitnessed. Divorce, menopause, grief, empty nest, caregiving, illness, reinvention, and awakening often unfold quietly, without community, ritual, or acknowledgment.
This retreat was created to change that.
At the heart of our gathering is the Crowning Ceremony—a sacred rite of passage where women are seen, celebrated, and welcomed into the next chapter of their lives. Through ceremony, song, nature, storytelling, and sisterhood, we create a beautiful container for reflection, release, renewal, and becoming.
My own path has taught me that transformation rarely arrives as we expect. Life humbles us, breaks us open, and invites us into deeper authenticity. Again and again, I have found that healing happens when we are witnessed, supported, and reminded that we do not walk these thresholds alone.
Cauldron of Becoming is the kind of gathering I longed for during my own seasons of change—a place where women can be celebrated not for what they accomplish, but for who they are becoming. It is my honor to welcome you into this circle. Learn more about Rayah
